In 1975 the UN General Assembly passed Resolution 3379, condemning Zionism as "racist" by 72-35. Decades later this was repealed due to US pressure.

"Jewish villages were built in the place of Arab villages. You do not even know the names of these Arab villages, and I do not blame you because geography books no longer exist. Not only do the books not exist, the Arab villages are not there either. Nahlal arose in the place of Mahlul; Kibbutz Gvat in the place of Jibta; Kibbutz Sarid in the place of Huneifis; and Kefar Yehushua in the place of Tal al-Shuman. Israel detained 50,000 Palestinians in 1989, about 16% of the entire male population between the ages of 14 and 55 of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. In the same year South Africa under apartheid, with a total population of 24 million, only detained about 5,000 blacks for security reasons. Since the 1967 war Israel has detained over 630,000 Palestinians.

1992 Leaders of 15 liberal church groups urged President Bush to deny Israel's request for loan guarantees for Russian immigrant housing until the construction of settlements in the occupied territories. These included the American Baptist Church, American Friends Service Committee, Episcopal Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church, Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, National Council of Churches, Presbyterian Church, Roman Catholic Conference of Major Superiors of Men, Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ.

In October of 2000 the government sent police and anti-terror sniper units into Arab towns and villages where Palestinians were protesting. They fired live ammunition into the demonstrators killing12 local citizens and a man from Gaza.

In the village of Beaneh in the Galilee the Israeli government sent 1,000 policemen to demolish five homes. They terrorized the population, severely injured council officials who tried to negotiate, fired tear gas into the grounds of a kindergarten and pointed a gun at the principal.

In the Negev, a paramilitary police force, the Green Patrol, repeatedly enforces the aerial spraying of Bedouin crops with toxic chemicals. The Green Patrol also handle house demolitions.
